Acenda's expert team helps each individual, family and community move forward in their journey towards health and happiness. Overview: The Emergency Screener provides emergency/mental health assessments to patients in need of crisis stabilization. The Emergency Screener also screens patients in crisis for psychiatric hospitalization - both voluntary and involuntary and provides crisis stabilization services to patients in psychiatric crisis Key Responsibilities: Provides appropriate referral and linkage when indicated. Develops and implements alternative treatment plans. Consults with psychiatrist and E.R. doctor regarding client disposition. Provides assessment of drug and alcohol involvement when clinically indicated and provides disposition planning for D/A involved patients. Completes Authorization for Police Transport form (when appropriate), Screening Document and appropriate clinical instruments Works collaboratively with coworkers and agency staff to effectively communicate and problem solve Requirements: Master's degree in the mental-health-related field from an accredited institution, plus one year of postmaster's, full-time equivalent, professional experience in a psychiatric setting; or Bachelor's degree in the mental-health-related field from an accredited institution, plus three years post-bachelors, full-time equivalent, professional experience in the mental health field, one of which is in a crisis setting; Bachelor's degree in the mental-health-related field, one of which is in a crisis setting and currently enrolled in a master's program.
