Job Summary Arrange transportation and logistics services, such as trucking, shipping, and air freight, to meet the specific needs of each shipment. Prepare and process necessary shipping and customs documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and export/import documentation. Job Description

• Manage shipments end-to-end from booking at origins to delivery for ocean, air and domestic shipments.
• Communicate all expectations to carriers ? paying extra attention to special requirements, assuring the carrier can meet all requirements.
• Receive and process various documents for accuracy, which requires operational knowledge of customers, carriers, and procedures.
• Enter various operational/customer data in software systems, work to identify missing or potential operational or service concern, and communicate with appropriate groups as necessary to resolve.
• Address various internal and external customer questions and concerns regarding shipments, billing, status, services, carriers, and other needs; forward complex or escalated customer needs as appropriate.
• Track orders and shipments and assist with tracing as needed.
• Assist with running and summarizing operational reports and details; present information to co-workers or supervisors are needed.
• Interface with airlines, ocean shipping, truck and related carriers to understand requirements.
• Assist with preparing information required for quotes or address potential services; may provide more standard to complex quotes.
• Develop working relationships with internal and external customers, assist with account management such as maintaining customer profiles, details and service needs.
• Create and process invoices, review for operational accuracy, and work with customers on questions and payment.

Qualifications

• Four year college graduate with degree in Business field
• Logistics industry operation experience preferred (Forwarding, Trucking, CHB)
• Strong written, oral as well as interpersonal communication and presentation skills
• Highly self motivated individual with keen attention to details
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Well organized and prompt
• Coordinates well with others
• Must be proficient in basic Excel Spreadsheet usage (daily usage)
• Must be English (speak/writing) proficient
• Must qualify to work in US
