EIT (Electronic Instrumentation & Technology) is looking for a Human Resources Intern for the Summer of 2025 to join our team in our Leesburg, VA location! EIT is a Contract Manufacturer specializing in Electronic Manufacturing Services and serves customers in the sectors of Industry, Communications, Aerospace, Defense and Healthcare.

Job Description:
The position of HR Intern will support the HR Manager in day-to-day operations and will be exposed to various HR tasks, such as recruitment, employee engagement, onboarding, and compliance. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and exposure to the core aspects of HR management.

• Observe internal HR meetings, including exposure to our PEO (professional employer organization: Insperity)
• Assist with organizing and filing HR records and converting to digital format
• Exposure to Recruiting best practices
• Gaining familiarity with relevant labor laws and compliance requirements
• Assisting with the review and update of HR policies and procedures
• Handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity
• Perform other HR-related tasks and projects as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
• Strong interest in Human Resources
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Working Conditions:

Normal office environment
Part-time:  Monday – Thursday, 20 hours/wk
May – August timeframe
$19/hr
