We are looking for our next Junior Product Manager based in New York. Supported by and reporting to the Head of Product, you will be joining a friendly and growing team to disrupt the Index space and participate in the next phase of our growth.

What will you do?

As part of the Product Management team, you will support the team‘s initiatives globally with a focus on equities indices and products. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team as a product manager, providing MerQube‘s clients with indexing and technology solutions. This multifaceted role includes serving as the owner of the internal and external projects as well as product roadmap and development. Responsibilities include: Triage internal and external deals and requests to break requests down to tasks and estimate costs Plan, coordinate, and implement required tasks to ensure a smooth and timely launch of new indices and products Work closely with Financial Engineering and Platform Engineering team on product design and execution Support the suite of Indices and products via analysis and content creation for thought leadership materials Help define and execute the product development strategy, considering market trends and competitive landscape Collaborate with product management team members globally and support global initiative

What the position requires: Undergraduate degree required. Masters degree in a relevant field or progress towards a CFA Charterholder status a plus 1-5 years of relevant work experience in financial services industry Strong analytical and quantitative skills are essential, comfortable to deal with large datasets Excellent written and verbal communication skill. The position requires interacting with sophisticated clients. The ability to learn and ask questions is paramount Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. Candidate can effectively influence others and gain their consensus when needed Demonstrated ability to handle steep learning curves; Candidate should be very comfortable dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty

Preferred Qualifications Programming skills (Python, R, SQL, VBA, others) are desirable Knowledge of financial packages such as FactSet, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Barra, Axioma, etc. is desirable
