Product Associate
We are looking for an associate to participate in the creation of new products and features, from the idea stage to launch.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in end-to-end project management. Your main responsibilities include gathering product requirements, prioritizing feature implementations and improving overall user experience.
Ultimately, you’ll work with internal teams to build products that fill gaps in the market, increase customer satisfaction, and drive revenue growth.
Expectations of the Product Associate
Create detailed Product Briefs that provide the direction for the new product development projects obtaining input from the Sales Team.
Coordinate with the engineering and product design teams to deliver functional solutions
Conduct research to identify customer needs and market gaps
Monitor and report on users’ reactions after launching
Create support and training documents for internal and external users
Analyze competition
Provides up to date Market information in support of major Customer’s product line reviews.
Develops a Catalog Offering under the Company’s Brand for the Soft Cooler category
Acquires Consumer Insights via all Methodologies to ensure products are being developed to meet the needs of targeted Consumers.
Requests and conducts grass roots Consumer Research
Ensures the four Product Goal Sets of Product Cost, Product Performance, Project Schedule and Project Budget are tracked and achieved.
Participate in Customer meetings and perform product demos to Customers
Develop sales tools and collateral
Brief and train the sales force at regularly scheduled Company meetings
Requirements of the Product Associate Position:
Minimum of 1 years’ experience as a project manager, assistant buyer or merchant, or salesperson in the consumer packaged goods industry.
Demonstrated success, defining and launching of Consumer Products
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience in Project Management, Product Development and Consumer Research methodologies.
Excellent teamwork skills
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Ability to effectively use MS Office programs; PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Proven Ability to present to all levels of Management
Some international and domestic travel as needed
