Job Description
The Project Manager is responsible for Sandia KTF contract execution. The project manager is to set the tone for contract performance fostering a collaborative environment. The project manager is responsible for contract execution, subcontracts, and financial resources to accomplish contractual obligations. Direct project planning, estimating, negotiations, execution, closeout, and related administrative support. Provide final approval for all project activities. Serve as the primary contact with the customer and provide guidance to subordinate staff to foster positive relations. Ensure responsiveness to contract requirements and mission accomplishment to include planning, timely completion of project milestones and development of future workload plans.
Responsibilities - Manages the day-to-day activities for a moderately complex technical or non-technical project
- Manages the administrative/operational leadership of a project within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer
- Monitors project to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained
- Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received
- May conduct performance/project analyses to benefit future/other projects/missions/programs
- Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles
- Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions
- Administers departmental policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with the development of new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies
Qualifications - Must have a bachelor's degree in a related discipline or master's license in any trade discipline
- Must have a minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in program management/logistics
- Must be proficient in standard business office software
- Must have the ability to create and maintain a positive team atmosphere with effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally with a variety of people and personalities
- Must have the ability to meet deadlines and handle potentially highly stressful situations
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Must have the ability to receive a favorable Tier 1 investigation result and obtain a CAC
- Must have the ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background screening
- Must have a valid driver's license
