Job Summary and Qualifications

The Outpatient Surgery RN delivers both pre and post-op nursing care. 

What you will do in this role: 

• ID patient problems. Determines nursing interventions, including biopsychosocial and educational needs and establish patient care plan based on medical/nursing diagnosis and admission profile. 
• Make patient rounds., recognize changes in patient’s conditions and initiate appropriate action. 
• Prompt assessment of patient upon return from OR and/or diagnostic procedure and documentation of findings. 
• Administer medication and IV fluids accurately and safely within nursing guidelines. Complete chart and make it legible and pertinent to patient’s diagnosis, condition and the plan of care. Initiates nursing orders for the comfort and well-being of the patient. Providing save nursing care and a safe environment for patients/families. 
• Provide discharge instructions for patient/family. 

What qualifications you will need:

• Associates Degree in Nursing required. 
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Nurse - Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation or Compact multistate license where he or she lives that includes Georgia.
