HOURS OF WORK: 4/10s, Shifts Vary; Monday thru Sunday; 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
LOCATION: North Maintenance Shop (2839 Mt. View Drive, Anchorage, AK)

Example of Duties


Municipality of Anchorage Park land and facilities in a safe, clean and usable condition for the general public to enjoy. This position performs park cleaning and maintenance under general supervision. The duties of this position focus on homeless camp cleanup work: Under Parks Caretaker II guidance, clean up illegal camps and store personal belongings as needed. While utilizing safe work practices, remove trash, debris, and waste to restore Municipal property to usable conditions. Dispose of removed articles Nature of Work Attachments in a safe and sanitary manner. Other duties include litter collection, snow and ice removal, ice maintenance, general grounds and facility cleaning and repair. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences


Three (3) months experience in lawn, landscape, trails, construction, grounds, or facility maintenance.

Must posses a valid State of Alaska Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record at time of hire.

Military Service Interview Preference:

The statement of service must be on a form or letterhead of the individual's command organization and show the name, signature, title and contact information for the signer providing the statement of service. The minimum qualifications of the position must be met for preference consideration.
