About the Opportunity:
• Job Title: Test Technician
• Pay Rate Range: $22-27/Hour
• Location: Anoka, MN
• Schedule: 1st Shift, Mon-Thurs 6AM-4:30PM with optional O/T.
• Position Type: Temp to Hire
Test Technician Requirements and Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field/work experience; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Experience in electronic testing, troubleshooting, or related roles is preferred.
- Understanding of electronics principles, circuit design, and electronic components.
- Proficiency in using test instruments like oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers.
- Strong ability to identify and fix electrical and electronic faults.
- Ability to spot minute issues and document testing processes accurately.
- Analytical thinking to identify root causes of issues and recommend solutions.
- Ability to clearly document and communicate test results and recommendations.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work extra hours when needed, including weekends.
- Manual dexterity to handle small electronic components and tools.
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
Test Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform functional and performance tests on electronic devices, systems, and components.
- Use testing equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and logic analyzers to evaluate electronic circuits.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoot malfunctions or issues in electronic systems.
- Record test results, including failures and corrective action taken.
- Prepare reports that summarize findings, issues, and resolutions for engineering teams or management.
- Assist in assembling and setting up test rigs or prototypes for new electronic devices.
- Ensure correct configuration of test equipment to ensure accurate results.
- Calibrate testing instruments and devices to ensure accurate measurements.
- Perform routine maintenance of test equipment and devices to keep them in optimal working condition.
- Work closely with engineers, product designers, and quality control teams to support product development and improvements.
- Ensure all testing procedures comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Actively participate in the quality efforts and support the Quality Management System and other regulatory and statutory requirements as required by the customer.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
