Job Description
A Windows Recovery Leader position is currently available with Belcan in Ridley Park, PA. This is a full time, direct job with full benefits or contract position. Great matching candidates will have a bachelor"s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline, with experience with defining, supporting, and integrating Windows Recovery engineering actions for large commercial aircraft.
Job Duties:
- Define and support the delivery of all engineering related materials in support of Windows Recovery Efforts for any supplier within a Military Aircraft portfolio, as directed by the Supply Chain Engineering Supplier Recovery. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Supplier Recovery Plan Creation, Implementation, and Reporting
- Managing and leading Lean and Value Stream Mapping Events
Integrate with the Aerospace Customer and Supplier Engineering teams to help define/capture the requirements and support of their delivery through:
- Creating Certification Plans*
- Qualification Plans*
- Compliance Summary Reports*
- Stress Analysis Reports*
- Damage Tolerance Analysis*
- There is no expectation to be able to perform the analysis required or to create these deliverables.
- Identify the need to perform the management and troubleshooting of Windows engineering
requirements, component systems, and assess supplier capacity to manufacture and deliver parts
with first time quality to support all Recovery efforts.
* Identify the need to perform and support the analysis and optimization of manufacturing processes to
improve efficiency reduce downtime and designing processes that are resilient and adaptable to
recovery situations.
* Identify the need to perform and support the development of recommendations for optimizing plant
layout to improve workflow and efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of window certification requirements and showing of compliance to those requirements
- Knowledge and experience with completing certification plans and deliverables
- Knowledge of Boeing 747 and Boeing 787 flight deck window design
- Knowledge of Windows Installation and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Windows manufacturing and quality processes
- Rotorcraft maintenance experience
- Experience testing and troubleshooting avionics
- Experience with Military Aircraft technical manuals and drawings
- Experience analyzing and interpreting engineering data for inclusion into maintenance manuals and technical
publications
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
- Successful candidate will be a self-starter with a high priority on first-time quality and customer satisfaction
while handling conflict situations calmly and dependably while having the capability to adapt to change
- Effective oral and written collaborative engineering environment communication skills
- Ability to effectively present oral and written engineering requirements and results
- Ability to work seamlessly in an IPT environment and across facilities and groups
- Requires educational credentials meeting the classification standards for engineers.
- Legal authorization to work in the US required
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Aircraft Maintenance Manuals
- Illustrated Parts Catalog
- Fault Isolation Manual
- Writing publications, including analysis and working with design engineering
- Previous Boeing experience preferred
- Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder
- Must be available to begin work immediately
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a rate of $60 to $69/hr however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
