As Namecheap's new Senior Staff Accountant, you'll help the company's financial strategy and support the monthly close process. With your sharp attention to detail and knowledge of GAAP accounting, you'll support Namecheap's growth and bring innovative ideas to our finance department. Collaborating with teams across the organization, you'll analyze data and track performance that will shape our plans and products. Location & Time Zone: This role is 100% remote as long as you’re in the CST or EST time zone.
Interview Process: This is a 3-week process with 3 stages: ➡️ First, a 45 min chat with the recruiter ➡️ Then a one-hour interview with our Controller and Sr Staff Accountant ➡️ A final one-hour interview with the CFO

Your team: 10 people (1 CFO, 1 Controller, 1 Sr Accountant, 2 Staff Accountants, 4 Finance Analysts and YOU!)

What will you do?
Recording monthly journal entries for more complex allocations and accruals, and maintaining corresponding schedules & analysis
Reviewing tasks performed by Staff Accountant, such as: prepaid amortization, depreciation, labor allocations and balance sheet reconciliations
Coordinating with other members of the finance department to understand related activities like budget planning, procurement and cash management strategy
Preparing monthly reports & analysis for monthly departmental & product manager reports
Preparing and submitting state, international, income tax payments
Assisting Controller with annual budget and annual business review
What will you bring?
Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
Outstanding communication skills and eagerness to work both independently and with a team
Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, work under pressure to meet deadlines
Working knowledge of various segments of the accounting cycle, such as: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, and Budgeting
Strong understanding of GAAP standards and practical application of these standards
Good organization and project management skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent training
CPA preferred (but not required)
Minimum 8 years’ experience in various accounting roles
Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and a reporting tool, such as Tableau
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, special formatting)
